Good evening and welcome to the Weekend Wishes edition for this week!
Have you had a busy weekend?
After a box full of jewellery repairs that has been haunting my crafting table for a while, the battle lines were drawn this afternoon.
It’s safe to say re-threading broken necklaces can be rewarding…
However, it can definitely have its challenges.
The threading was not as easy as first thought.
Here are some more straightforward “reward” necklaces
I created inbetween the challenging ones!
A little thought….
This quote on the subject of thread, seemed to ring true for us.
A beautiful macro shot of beads and thread…just to get you in the mood!
A similar style to the type of repairs I undertook today!

Art, in itself, is an attempt to bring order out of chaos. Stephen Sondheim
Well its been a full on start to the summer for us both.
Today, amongst the chaos, we found time to
sit down together and create.
Create, just for the sake of creating something pretty.
Now, that’s a special way to spend a day.
I found I could say things with color and shapes that I couldn’t say any other way – things I had no words for. – Georgia O’Keefe
How are you spending your day?
Watching the Olympics?

Well, our usual Friday morning M-i-M crafting routine got off to an “interesting” start, with Shani making a return trip to pickup forgotton photographs, and Jen…………well, having a culinary catastrophe, shall we say.
Great intentions and Grand ideas, soon caught up with us.
Picture the scene if you will. A chirpy Shani returning to find a mute jen pointing in sadness at a mangled marble sponge. After deciding it tasted quite delicious, Shani came the rescue, found some chocolate, fruit and custard and voila…. our Rescued Trifle Triumph!
We’ve been busy bees today, sorting orders, photographing, and making.
We started a Made in Minch Scrapbook, to have on our stall when we are out and about (along side our usual look book and evidence of previous products)
and for lunch? Pesto Gnocchi 🙂
What have you been up to this Fab Friday?

Hearts, flowers and birds...what more do you need for romance?
Well… we’re thinking about what we could do for the Valentine week and have started making heart and flower garlands, paper roses with tags saying ‘I love you’ in all sorts of languages, heart-shaped brooches and more!
We have been getting together twice a week to come up with new ideas, try out prototypes and refine them into finished pieces to sell or patterns and instructions for kits. We’ve got some lovely new patterns in the mix for little people as well as lovely things for the home.
We get so much pleasure and contentment from coming up with these ideas and making them. It seems to help slow life down a little and put a little soul back into our days. We’re so looking forward to starting the workshops. A few more tweaks and then it will be gathering resources and advertising the classes! Phew!
Well, here are some more pics of the things that have made us smile and relax. Please comment and let us know what you think.
Handmade dreams heal the heart,
