Fashion Fridays : Small town girl

Having lived in Minchinhampton my whole life, (minus an ill fated university stay)
It’s safe to say I am somewhat in love with my little hometown.

I love the friendly “Hello” in the street every morning.
I adore the lifelong friends that pop by,
the quaint Cotswold streets and
the huge expanse of common land on my doorstep.
Our town boasts beautiful views, gorgeous shops
with tasty local produce and  a wonderful countryside lifestyle!

“Village Life” can be immensely hard to handle sometimes.
It’s not for everyone….
Every other person knows your business and  it can take 20 minutes just to get to your car due to chatter…
However, I think my fellow Minchinhamptonites
can be some of the most fiercely loyal, friendly and helpful people
in the most challenging of times.

What do you love about where you live?

Welcome to our 4th Fashion Friday ~ hurrah!
This is a feature celebrating fashion and accessories, showcasing items
from our local ladies boutique Stafford Cottage

We were lulled into a false sense of security
with the little sunshine we had over the Bank Holiday here…
Thankfully we managed to get out and about in between showers
over the week to bring you this weeks Fashion Friday!

Fashion Fridays : Mr. Sun, please don’t go away

headerHello there its Shani’s Fashion Friday this week!
As the mizzle has left us well alone for a while,
Summer’s coming (think positive now!)
and we love to wear the maxi dresses from Stafford Cottage.
They can be worn with sandals and a little cardi to make a lovely, fresh and summery outfit.

The new Adini “Alicia” maxi in fresh zingy lime and soft teale on a grey and white base
is a simple lightly a-line shape that’s 100% cotton, so great for warm weather.
Team it with a cardi. jacket or long flowing scarf in lime, teale, grey or white.
How about loosely belting it with a narrow belt?

Bangles are always a good thing for the summer,
the jingle jangle whisks you away to warm and sunny climes.
Stack them up in co-ordinating colours to give some impact bangles

These amazing bags are not only light on the pennies (£15) the come in a wide range of colours.
The thing that we love is that the light paisley lining makes finding your keys a breeze!

Add colour and vibrancy to any outfit with chunky colourful beads,

Or alternatively go glam and glitzy with a sparkly item or two.necklace

outfit ringscombi

These rings are special not only because my husband asked me to marry me with one of them,
but because they were designed and made by my family.
My wedding ring (the one that looks like a diamond laurel wreath)
is a family design worn by all the women on my mother’s side of the family.
I’m touched to say that the next generation want to carry on the tradition.

We have been listening to “Mr Sun” by Kina Grannis and it seems
more than appropriate!

The springtime brings out
The brightest green in things
And tiny sprouts push the soil from their way
Mr. Sun, please don’t go away

What are you upto this weekend?
Is the sun shining with you?
Wishing a happy Bank Holiday Weekend to our UK readers!
